  Q: I know you say I don't need to use the included bolts if I don't want to but how can I trust the 3M VHB Tape by itself.
  A: As part of the installation process, proper surface prep is key (just like bodywork) and we cover this in our install videos and manuals.  We also include 3M94 Adhesion Promoter as part of the install process post surface prep. Also, almost the entire surface where the hinge meets the top is covered by the 3M VHB Tape. To illustrate the holding strength, one of our in-house Gladiators got T-Boned and rolled 3x from the impact force... Our crew was OK and egressed through the FlipTop since the doors were pinned. Long story short, your FlipTop isn't going anywhere once installed.
  
  
  Q: If I use the bolts, will they leak?
  A: No, they have self sealing grommet heads.
  
  Q: Can I paint the hinges?
  A: Yes.
  
  Q: Can I powder coat the hinges?
  A: No! You will melt the 3M VHB Tape.
